Growth During Decline
“Working with Adele has provided a great insight into our business. After implementing her recommended Feng Shui adjustments, the new clients coming in the door every week are the kind of clients we have been targeting. We are even busier now, despite the economic decline, but are handling it much better because the staff is calmer, less stressed and our environment feels more energized.”
~Dr. Ann M. Sura, ND/Natura Med Natural Family Medicine
Dr. Ann Sura and her husband, Dr. Mark Sura, started Natura Med in October 2010, during an economic decline. Although committed to providing high quality medical services to the Lake Tahoe area, the timing of opening their practice created concerns for both doctors.
I met Dr. Ann, Dr. Mark and their staff in January 2011. At that time, they indicated that receivables from the practice were declining, which caused them anxiety about the future. They decided to have both their business office and their private residence included in the Feng Shui study program. They documented immediate results the same week Feng Shui adjustments were installed. They reported that business increased significantly within a few days and that everyone in the office could “feel the energy shifts” that took place after Feng Shui changes were made – it was that palpable. Despite the economic decline, they achieved 60%-70% improvement in cash flow and new clients during their 6-month participation in the Feng Shui business coaching program.
Natura Med’s patient load continued to increase over the study period, except as Ann noted in their written surveys: “We notice even now that if we forget to light our fire elements, or change a water cure, that our business slows. When we stay on top of it the phone rings, and we have walk-ins and all of us feel good.”
Results for their 6-month participation include:
- 60-70% improvement in cash flow and new clients
- 90% improvement in sleeping patterns, energy and vitality
- 50% improvement in relationships
- 60% improvement in career expansion and satisfaction
- 50% improvement in well-being
Ann commented on her Exit Survey that taking part in this study created an 80% improvement to their working environment, which not only generated more cash flow for the practice, but also improved day-to-day working conditions for the entire staff.
